TikTok Trends in March 2021
@tccomanPleasant park lookin a lil diff 🥴 #fyp #xyzbca #foryou #viral #blinded #royale #polo #fortnite♬ Chug jug with you – Frend?
1. Chug Jug With You (Number One Victory Royale)
Remember that song “American Boy” by Estelle, featuring Kanye West? Great! Now, unremember it; because we have a way better option. Chug Jug With You was originally a 16 second Fortnite parody video by CM Skits, which had around 90.000 views. In 2018, the 13 year old YouTube content creator Leviathan picked up the melody and wrote extra lyrics, creating a full 2.5 minute song. Years later, it’s all over our TikTok For You pages.
This trend does not have any specific structure, or anything you have to in unison with the music. People are literally just listening to the song and vibing.
@sguerraandre#duet with @jonnystewartbass I’m late to the party, but I’m obsessed with all of these basses and got so excited. #wellerman #seashanty #basssinging♬ Wellerman – Sea Shanty – Nathan Evans
2. The Wellerman Sea Shanty
Yet another musical TikTok trend, Wellerman has been the favorite of many people. Whether you’re just listening to it all relaxed by the bass melody, or joining the choir and singing it alongside other TikTok creators, this is one TikTok trend we stop for every time it shows up on our For You pages.
3. Best Friends (The Crossed Arms Dance)
An extrovert and an introvert? Guy with strict parents and girl with chill parents? A girl with cat allergy, and a cat? Why, of course, they’re best friends! This trend brings an ironic approach to being best friends, based on the idea that opposites attract.
Just introduce the two characters, then place your phone on the floor facing up, cross your arms and dance!
@lily_kathrynThis would normally result in an argument😂 #summer #fyp #foryou #foryoupage♬ Midari got a gun – ૮₍ ´𖦹 ˕ ×` ₎ა
4. Midari’s Got A Gun
This is one TikTok trend of which we don’t truly understand the origins. You introduce a person or situation, followed by something unexpected which challenges it, showing your arm. Does anyone in the INFLOW office know where this originated, or what the pose means? No. Do we enjoy the videos? You bet.

5. What’s an Acting Performance So Good You Forgot It Was Acting?
This TikTok trend asks one simple question: “What’s an acting performance that was so good that you forgot it was acting?”. And yet, the answers are not quite on the same page. Movie buffs saw this trend as an opportunity to share their favorite scenes, while other people had different ideas. Now, we enjoy good acting just as much as the next guy. But it is the ironic duets with terrible scenes, where our heart resides.
6. When Your Drink Starts To Taste Like X
This one’s for all the situations where you had to ask “What’s wrong with me? Why do I feel like this?”. Those turning points where you have a transformative experience; like when the drink starts to taste like speaking fluent Spanish? Send them up here!
@raf_avila#duet with @hi_bre but you didn’t wait till the ship split in half 😢🚢 #titanic #titanicmodel♬ bre n mia laughing – bre
7. Mean Girls Laughing at You
This video originally was two girls shooting a TikTok video, realizing the sound was off, and laughing. Now, it’s being dueted to create an awkward situation where you’re excited about something and two mean girls laugh at you. Because who hasn’t been there?
@tythecrazyguyTHE LAST PART- please tell me you guys know what I’m talking about!! #conspiracy♬ Blade Runner 2049 – Synthwave Goose
8. Mystical Explanations
Accompanied by music from Blade Runner 2049, this is one of those TikTok trends where people talk about little known facts. Got any X-Files material? This is the format you’re looking for.

9. Rating Friends as Men
Ever wondered how your friends would look in the opposite gender? With this TikTok trend, you get to both satisfy that hunch AND rate your friends. It’s just amazing what technology allows us to do!

10. Hating on Ed Sheeran
At one point, GenZ just collectively decided they didn’t like Ed Sheeran’s music, at all. And now it’s very common to see people actively hate on him on your For You page. While we don’t condone any sort of hate speech, some of these light-hearted cracks at Sheeran are quite funny.
