With millions of new accounts created every month, TikTok is one of the most popular social media apps in the world. To keep the platform exciting for users, the company continues to deliver new features.
The newest TikTok feature is viewing profile viewer history. It is actually very similar to the concept that LinkedIn has. Users may see who has accessed their account in the previous 30 days by using this optional feature. The feature was actually available up until early 2021 before getting removed for unknown reasons. It has reappeared with a few adjustments, and it is currently available.
The current version of the function is optional, and you may turn it off if you like. Users can keep track of their viewers and see if their videos are reaching their intended audience. If you’re having questions about how to activate the feature, the following are the steps to do it:
- Click and open the profile icon in the bottom right-hand corner
- Then click on the menu icon in the top right-hand corner
- Click on the eye symbol
- Select the “turn on profile view history” option.
After enabling the feature, users may see who visited their profile, with the viewer ID remaining on the list for 30 days. However, there are certain restrictions to the feature. Others who visit your account should have the same option turned on in order to appear in the list of viewers.
Since the launch of this new feature, there have been many negative comments among TikTok users. Many of them say that they wouldn’t use this feature.
What about you? Do you like the viewer history feature? Will you be using it? Share your thoughts in the comments section!
