The first one to become a social media platform, Facebook is in trying to gain its popularity back in the competition among other newer social media platforms. A similar feature of the Twitter, which has been used for years, is on the agenda for the social media giant. Facebook has started making the first attempts for thread feature on well-known accounts.
The platform has started experimenting a structure similar to the reply feature that users use to make floods on Twitter. This feature, called Facebook threads, allows adding similar and related topics to the shared post. Facebook has already started trials for the feature. The threads update will help making the posts appear more collective and easier to access.
Twitter thread feature was introduced due to the short character limits of the posts. However, Facebook posts can be shared quite long. Therefore, Facebook threads may not be available for everyone. However, Facebook is yet to reply on this topic. The feature is currently available for a limited audience of well-known users in the US. It is expected that this feature will make sharing news easier, while also slightly correcting the complex structure of Facebook.
Do you think this feature will be beneficial? Do you think Facebook threads feature should be opened to normal users as well? Leave a comment down below or hit us up on our socials! Stay tuned for more news on social media!
