If you’ve encountered any trends recently, they’ve probably originated on TikTok. All the massive trends, including everything about Squid Game, got where they are today thanks to TikTok creators. So if you’ve got a novel product or service that will attract people’s attention, it’s very easy for it to be adopted by TikTokers.

About a year ago, every TikToker was trying to get their hands on Martinelli’s apple juice just so that they could bite into the bottle because that was the trend. Just imagine that for your business.

It’s Easier to Reach a Wider Base

It’s rather difficult to start up on Instagram and Twitter if you don’t have a dedicated fanbase. Thanks to TikTok’s algorithm that likes to blow ordinary people up, you can suddenly wake up to a 100K new followers. This means that, if you appeal to the algorithm by bringing in some initial engagement, there’s a good chance that you will get a fast track into the world of bigger accounts.

It’s More Casual

One thing your small business should have, is a personality. As opposed to Instagram, which aims to be your polished showcase, TikTok is a lot more casual when it comes to what you can put out there.

You can show people how you prepare their packages, your daily difficulties, or your tears of joy after a massive order. People will love to get to meet the people behind their favorite products, and you won’t need a production budget.

It’s the Trend

Ok, this is going to be some real meta stuff right here.

There’s a great chance that people will want to look at your small business content, just because you are a small business. The hashtag #smallbusiness is booming on TikTok, and the platform is full of people showcasing their processes. Of course, you will need to be very creative just because there is so much competition in the “small business niche” but this also means that there is a place and a demand for your content on the platform. It’s a bit of a cliché, but a guilty pleasure to many.
